They're built like tanks but like all guns with use of repeated higher power rounds comes accelerated wear and like the other poster mentions, there is no +p rated 40 cal ammo. It is a detuned 10mm btw. A 10mm case w/o bullet is 10 x 25mm and the 40 cal is 10 x 23mm.

Size wise the SIG Pro 2022 and the XD 40 are very similar. Actually the SP2022 fits in the XD holster perfectly. The XD also wears a 1913 picatinny rail for a tactical light or other accessories to suit. The Springfield XD comes in a nice plastic case which contained the firearm, 2 mags, magazine holster, firearm holster, gun lock, and mag loader. I think it's pretty cool that Springfield includes the extras.
